Recently, 76ers reporter Kyle Neubeck talked about Yang Hansen being selected in the 16th pick in the first round on the PHLY Philadelphia Sixers Podcast podcast program.

Kyle Neubeck said: "The Trail Blazers selected Yang Hansen with the No. 16 draw at that time. If we had the No. 16 draw at that time, to be honest, we were not so confident to choose him, because his mock draft pick was around 35th. If there was no one yet, we might take action. Of course, we don't know much about Yang Hansen as well. Those executives and scouts must know him more. He is a very interesting player and excellent. Who knows what happens in the future?"

The 2025 draft, the Trail Blazers, who originally had the No. 11 draw, traded downwards to get the No. 16 draw + the first round pick of 2028 (Magics) plus two second round picks, and finally selected Chinese player Yang Hansen with the No. 16 draw; and the 76ers selected Edgecomm with the Tanhua draw, and selected center Jonny Bloom from Auburn University with the 35th pick.
