Recently, on the DLLS Mavs podcast, Mark Cuban, a small shareholder of the Mavericks, talked about the No. 1 pick Cooper Flag.

Cuban praised Flag's potential and pointed out that his comprehensiveness on both sides of the offense and defense and his youth are an asset that could have allowed him to play for the Mavericks for many years. This long-term performance, coupled with winning, is the secret to winning back fans who left after the Luca Doncic trade.

"The God of Basketball favored us, and Cooper was real," said Cuban. "He was less than 19 years old. It's no exaggeration to say that with the development of science, he could play for the Mavericks for 25 years. I guess if we play well and win, the emotions of (those fans) will change."
