West was selected by the New Orleans Hornets with the 18th pick in the first round in 2003, and played for the Hornets, Pacers, Spurs and Warriors in his career. He has played 1,034 games in his career regular season, with averaging 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

He won two championships with the Warriors in his career and was selected as an All-Star twice in his career.
