Coaching Barcelona? Xiaofa: I m just starting out and this road is long, life and perception are always changing
After the Gambel Cup, Cuomo coach Fabregas was interviewed.
Gambel's Cup defeat?
"We are competitive, but it's always painful when opponents score five goals. They could have scored more, and we could have scored goals. We know that this could happen. We had a great season and shouldn't have lost to Milan and Roma. We haven't had a team of this level in the year, and it's the most stringent test for us. They are kids, I'm very aware of that, I'm very happy with them. We are growing up quickly, which helps us a lot because people are already talking about European arenas and I do it to lower expectations."
About Barcelona?
"We will not stop moving forward either. We may win or lose. It is true that their level is very high, but I have also seen Barcelona lose the game by three or four goals when they were three years younger than they are now. This is a very important test for us and we need to continue to grow."
About Frick?
"We didn't stick to twenty minutes, but maybe ten minutes were good. That's enough. It's true that the offside line problem has really confused me. I think we found three or four solutions, but it did fail in twelve times. We're a very tight team and when you push the defense so high... using a fake 9 works better for us. Maybe they slowed down the pace, but I saw a more compact team. I learned a lot from it."
Will coach Barcelona in the future?
"I've just started. The road is long, I'm only 38 years old. Life is always changing, and perception is changing. Observe more, listen more, and try to apply these to my children."
