Director Mialby: Our home ground is being renovated and cannot host next season’s Champions League matches

After Mjalby won the Swedish Super League championship, the club's sporting director Hase Larsson revealed that the team was unable to participate in the Champions League at home.
In the Swedish Super League early this morning, Mjarbi defeated IFK Gothenburg 2-0 in an away game, winning the league championship three rounds ahead of schedule and qualifying for next season's Champions League. Mialbi is a small fishing village with a current population of only 1,379 residents. They will be the smallest city where a participating team is located in the history of the Champions League.
The requirements for hosting venues in the Champions League are relatively high. Miaalby's home stadium, Strandvalen Stadium, originally met the conditions for hosting the first and second qualifying rounds of the Champions League. If it continues to advance, Miaalby will need to borrow the home stadiums of other major clubs in southern Sweden. However, the Strandwallen Stadium is currently undergoing renovation work on the locker room, so it cannot host even the first and second qualifying rounds of the Champions League.
Sports director Hase Larsson first said: "We originally saw an opportunity to play the first and second rounds of the Champions League qualifying rounds at the Strandwallen Stadium. However, the club started this dressing room renovation plan three years ago, during which we will set up temporary dressing rooms and press rooms. But UEFA does not allow this in European competitions. Three years ago, we did not expect that we would qualify for the European competitions. ."
Hasse Larsson continued: "Is it a regret? I can honestly say that if we can choose, we hope to hold all Champions League games at the Strandwallen Stadium, but we must now focus on doing what we can do. Our stadium was built very early and is not the most modern, but we cannot meet it here. The requirements of the Champions League, we have to accept that. Now we can only do our best on this basis. Yes, in theory we could stop work on refurbishing the dressing rooms, but that's practically impossible. "
Miarbi midfielder Victor Gustafsson said: "This feeling is indeed a bit bitter. But regardless, it’s great to be in the Champions League and at least it will be fun on the road. "
Miarby coach Anders Tostensen also talked about this matter: "It is useless to raise any opinions on this. We also need to build new facilities for domestic competitions. If an attractive opponent is encountered, the Strandvalen Stadium may not be enough. From this perspective, this can bring a new kind of income. Playing home games in other stadiums might have an impact, but we are almost as good away from home as we are at home. "
