Sane left Bayern to join Galatasaray and signed a three-year contract. French media "The Team" published an article talking about how Galatasaray can still provide players with very considerable salary despite Turkey's severe inflation.

Galatasaray internally explained that they promised to give Sane a core position to the team and successfully convinced the players to join. They offered Sane an annual salary of 9 million euros after tax, plus a loyalty award of 3 million euros.
