Gattuso: The Italian Football Museum is full of memories, I will donate my 2006 championship sneakers here
The Football Museum of the Italian Football Association was opened after renovation. Italian national team coach Gennaro Gattuso came to the scene and gave a speech.
Gattuso first said: "I attach great importance to it. This is my first time coming here. After I came in to visit, I must say that this place is really touching and full of memories. This feeling cannot be expressed in words."
Gattuso then smiled and promised to Matteo Marani, chairman of the museum foundation: "I still owe you something... I remember. But I I have to go back home to Calabria because my mother won’t let anyone in. I want to give you the sneakers I wore when I won the 2006 World Cup and put them in this museum.”
Finally, Gattuso said: “I feel very proud to be the coach of the Italian national team, even though it also carries a huge responsibility.”
