It was reported that both men felt unwell at the end of the game and will undergo medical examination today. Valverde experienced adductor discomfort in his right leg in the final minutes of the game and the club's medical services will assess his condition before clearing him to report to the national team.

As for Courtois, his right thigh muscle is overloaded and also needs to be checked to rule out more serious injuries.
