Robert Lewandowski will miss this Sunday's game against Real Madrid. The Polish striker has already missed games against Girona and Olympiakos and was not expected to return for a short period of time. However, his friend and national teammate Wojciech Szczesny revealed in an interview with Eleven Sports that Lewandowski's injury was not as serious as expected.

In an interview with Eleven Sports, Szczesny was initially reluctant to reveal too many details. Szczesny said: "I don't know if Lewandowski will be able to make it to the Clasico," but he also said that Lewandowski's injury was not as serious as initially thought.

Initially it was expected that Lewandowski would be sidelined for five to six weeks, but Szczesny directly denied this statement. Barcelona still have four games before the next international break: against Real Madrid, Elche, Club Brugge and Celta Vigo. Lewandowski could potentially catch one of those.

Lewandowski was injured while representing the Polish national team against Lithuania. Barcelona's official injury report showed that he suffered a tear in the biceps femoris of his left leg.

Then there will be an important international match day for the Polish team. On November 14, Poland will face the Netherlands. If they win, they will have a chance to tie their opponents and compete for direct qualification for the World Cup in the final round.

Poland will challenge Malta away in the final round, while the Netherlands will face Lithuania. Although the Netherlands has a clear advantage in terms of goal difference, the Polish team coached by Jan Urban still hopes to do its best to win the first place in the group.
