La Liga officially announced that Rayo Vallecano coach Inigo Perez was elected La Liga's Coach of the Month for October.

Rayo Vallecano has performed well this month, winning all three games in La Liga: defeating Real Sociedad 1-0 away, defeating Levante 3-0, and defeating Alaves 1-0 at home, achieving three consecutive victories. They have also kept a clean sheet and currently have 14 points, ranking seventh in the standings.

Inigo Perez defeated Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid) and Manuel Pellegrini (Real Betis) in the final candidate voting and won the La Liga Coach of the Month Award for the first time.
