Ingram was born on September 2, 1997 in Kingston, North Carolina, USA. At the 2016 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Lakers as the second place and officially entered the NBA. He has played for the Lakers and Pelicans so far. He was selected as the second team of the All-Star Western Conference substitute in the 2016-17 season, and was selected as the fastest-progress player in the regular season of the NBA. On February 6, 2025, Ingram was traded to the Raptors. In terms of the national team, Ingram was selected into the 12-man roster for the US Men's Basketball Team in July 2023 for the 2023 Men's Basketball World Cup.
