"Roman Sports" talked about the reason why Atlanta was reluctant to sell Lukeman to Inter, and pointed out that Inter would give up if the asking price exceeded €50 million.

Inter Milan is seeking to acquire Atlanta striker Lukeman, but the transfer is currently at a deadlock. Instead of traveling to Germany with Atlanta to participate in a warm-up match against Leipzig this week, Lukeman stayed in Atlanta for solo training because of his calf muscle injury. But the Rome Sports noted that Atlanta's tough attitude in the negotiations had already made Lukeman feel unhappy, and he could even give up training next Monday.

The Atlanta team will return to the training base next Monday. If Lukeman is not with the whole team at that time, it means that he and the club have officially broken up. Lukeman believes that Atlanta made a promise last summer when he tried to keep it, and that if he received a 40 million euro offer this summer, he would allow himself to leave the team. Now Inter Milan's offer has reached 42 million euros transfer fee plus 3 million bonus, but Atlanta still refuses to sell it, which makes Lukeman unacceptable.

"Roman Sports" said that Atlanta did not regard Lukeman as a non-sale product, but the reason why they were unwilling to sell players to Inter Milan is mainly due to the following three reasons: First, Atlanta has sold Retge for 68 million euros this summer, and the club's current financial situation does not need to continue selling people for money; Second, after Atlanta changed coaches this summer, it did not want to make a major change in the lineup, which led to turmoil, so it did not want to sell important players like Lukeman, at least not to sell people before finding a replacement for Retge.

Third, Atlanta is more willing to sell Lukeman to foreign teams than to direct competitors in Serie A, such as Inter Milan. Atlanta has faced Inter Milan in eight consecutive losses in various competitions in the past three seasons, which has hurt Atlanta. It is also for this reason that Atlanta is unwilling to sell Lukeman to another Serie A team, Naples.

The Roman Sports also pointed out that Lukeman's former owner Leipzig also has a 15% share of the player's transfer income. If Lukeman's price is 45 million euros, Atlanta can get 38.9 million and Leipzig 6.1 million; if the price is 50 million euros, Atlanta can get 43.2 million and Leipzig 6.8 million.

Inter Milan is still waiting for the situation to develop further. Marotta hopes Atlanta can give a negotiated reference price, but Atlanta refuses to do so. Inter Milan's idea is that if Atlanta asks for €50 million, there is still room for negotiation, and Inter Milan will try to add other players to the negotiation to reduce cash spending. But if Atlanta's asking price exceeds 50 million euros, Inter will give up introducing Lukeman and instead seek other goals.

Inter Milan hopes Atlanta will give an answer as soon as possible, but it does not necessarily need to close the deal before this weekend. Next, Inter Milan's sports director Osilio will evaluate this together with coach Zivo and jointly consider alternative goals. Currently, Openda, Greenwood and others are also on Inter Milan's shortlist.
