Spanish media "Marca" reported that Barcelona prioritizes registration of Szczesny and Gerald Martin.

Barca continues to work hard to push some players to leave the team in order to complete the procedures for the remaining players to be registered. Two priority targets are Szesney and Gerald Martin. The club originally planned to deal with the departure of Romeu and Penia, so that Czesny can free up a place to participate in next weekend's match against Levante.

This operation faces complexity, and Impenia's departure is not yet clear. Although some teams are interested, the players have not made a decision, and the possibility of a trip before Saturday is low. Romeu's transfer may turn around. Player representative Magiko Dias has discussed a termination plan with the club. At present, there is still a gap in positions between the two sides and no substantial progress has been made.

The club intends to assume part of the salary and terminate the contract, and also requires the players to give up their remaining salary. This is essentially a matter of amount, and both parties hope to resolve it as soon as possible, but they need to first clarify the specific amount they bear.

The current plan for the club is: if Romeu leaves the team instead of Pena's transfer before the match against Levante, the registration of Gerald Martin will be given priority and Szczesny will be postponed to next week. This becomes the most likely option. The fair play amount released by the midfielder leaving the team plus the remaining space of the club is enough to register Gerald Martin. As previously reported, Frick is vigorously promoting Gerald Martin's registration work.

Gerard Martin is versatile and adaptable. He is not only a substitute for Barde and can also serve as the left central defender after Inigor Martinez leaves the team. Frick trusts him very much. Last season, the players played 42 games for the first team, accounting for about 70% of Barcelona's total games.
