Milan successfully signed Belgian defender De Winter, and "Milan Sports" talked about the reasons why Inter Milan did not participate in the competition.

Inter Milan has had many transfer rumors with Derwinter this summer, but this week Milan officially announced that it had signed Derwinter from Genoa to fill the vacancy after Jaf left the team, with a transfer fee of 20 million euros. Inter Milan has not taken action to participate in the competition during Milan's transfer negotiations, which puzzles Inter Milan fans. "Milan Sports" pointed out that this is because Inter Milan failed to sell the existing defenders in the team and therefore could no longer buy Derwinter.

Inter Milan does want to introduce a new defender this summer, but the premise is to sell first and then buy. Inter Milan already has central defenders such as Bissek, Paval, Devri, Archerby, Bastoni, Augusto, Palacios, and others, among which Palacios will be loaned to Basel. Inter Milan only buys Derwinter after selling one of Paval or Bissek.

Previously, a team offered 35 million euros to buy Bisek, but was rejected by Inter Milan. Inter Milan's asking price for Bisek was 40 million euros. Paval did not receive a satisfactory offer. Therefore, Inter Milan has not officially sought to buy Derwinter.

Originally, Dewinter's agent had contact with Inter Milan and was willing to continue waiting for Inter Milan. But Milan offered to buy Derwinter after selling Jaf and successfully signed him.
