According to Biography, Dortmund's legend Groskreuz was fired by German sixth-level league team SV Wacker Obercastrop because he ranked at the end of the list with only two points in the first seven rounds of the season.

Groskreuz was originally a Wacher Obecastrop player and started serving as an assistant coach since October 2024. He became a member of the coaching staff in May this year, coaching with Jimmy Tim. However, their cooperation did not achieve the desired results. The team suffered three consecutive losses at the beginning of the season and did not get the first point until the fourth round.

Groskreuz's player career is much more successful than his coaching career. He has played 176 Bundesliga games for Dortmund and Stuttgart, and has won the German Cup and two Bundesliga titles with the former.
