TA introduced Alonso s coaching team: The two have worked in La Macia and worked together for 7 years
After replacing Ancelotti as Real Madrid coach, Alonso brought a brand new coaching team, and Theathletic introduced the coaching team members of the Spanish coach.
Sebastian Paris (Assistant coach)
Parisia is the only person in the coaching team to accompany Alonso's entire coaching career. The two worked together when they coached Real Madrid U14 in 2018.
Following Alonso, Paris worked for Real Sociedad B and Leverkusen, and then returned to Real Madrid. Sources in Leverkusen said that Parisia, 47, is a "respected coach" and also holds a UEFA professional certificate, the highest coaching qualification in European football
Many players who have worked with Parisia in Real Madrid's youth training system and Real Sociedad said he is very close to the team and knows how to keep everyone involved, whether it is players who play frequently or those with fewer opportunities. Alonso relies on him in almost every aspect of the game, especially in defense, set pieces and the team’s overall tactical style.
Ismail Carmenford Lopez (physical coach)
The 40-year-old coach has worked in Barcelona's youth training camp for eight years (2011-2018). According to multiple sources at the Valdebebas training base, Lopez has received good education and was in Barcelona with the guidance of famous scientist and physical trainer Paco Cerroo Vargas. He pays more attention to Alonso's team's game style, planning the player's load and on-field training, rather than just work in the gym.
People close to Lopez call him a low-key, good at observing, and very obsessed with work. He even developed his own app "K-Forte" to focus on strength training. After leaving La Macia's youth training camp, he worked for New York City (2018-2019), the Denmark National Team (2019-2020) and Leverkusen (2020-2025), where he met Alonso, who was appointed as the head coach of Leverkusen in 2022.
Alberto Encinas (Analyst/Assistant)
Encinas is another former La Macia coach brought by Alonso from Leverkusen. The 43-year-old coach was actually recommended by Lopez and was spotted by Barcelona. They worked with Barcelona B team (now known as Athletic Barcelona) head coach Gerald Lopez.
Benate Rabayan (video analyst/assistant coach)
Rabayan is the youngest member of Alonso's coaching team. He is only 37 years old and does not lack experience. As a Basque man, he worked for Atletico Madrid for three years early in his career, with the Spanish Football Association for one year, and worked for Real Madrid from 2011 to 2014.
From 2012 to 2014, Rabayan was an assistant when former Real Madrid striker Morientes coached the U19 team, so he is very famous at the Waldbebas training base and has close ties with some of the staff there. He has also worked outside Spain, including as an assistant coach at Leeds United from 2017 to 2018. A source who also worked for Leeds United at the time called Rabayan a "expert" and said it was difficult to find a better candidate in the Spanish market.
In 2018, Rabayan joined Real Sociedad as an analyst for then-head coach Alguacir, and helped the team win the Copa del Rey in 2021.
Tristan Cerrador (focused on analysis and youth training, etc.)
Cerrador is a senior employee who has worked at Real Madrid for more than 20 years and is known for his deep understanding of the club's culture and youth training system. Although he did not attend Alonso's press conference, he was allegedly the fourth known member of Alonso's coaching team.
Cerrador holds a UEFA professional coaching certificate and has worked for Real Madrid since 2001. Initially, he coached potential players in the youth team, such as Ashraf, who is now a member of the PSG Champions League champions.
